2013. Fluoro Paint, UV light and Gum Stains on Pavement

It is hard to imagine a more useless and disgusting thing than a chewed piece of gum. Once discarded gum becomes unseen, the dirt and grime of everyday strangeness. Black gum stains patterns engulfing our streets with their highest intensities of litter occur out front pubs.

The exhibition ‘Gum Drops’ highlights and exposes to view this intensity of gum litter at the Worldsend Hotel. The numerous gum marks are returned to their original bright colour with paint, turning the entrance to the Worldsend into a fluorescent polka dotted landscape.
